I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2009, and proceeded to complete my Master’s in Chemical Engineering at CU Boulder. After grad school, I joined the Peace Corps as an education volunteer, where I spent two years in a remote village in Uganda teaching math, physics, and computer literacy. I had much time to contemplate my future while in Africa, and I came to the conclusion that my job and my passions must align for me to be successful and happy.
Skiing has always been a huge part of my life, and a great experience for bonding with family and friends. Upon returning from my service in Africa, I began researching different positions available throughout the ski industry. I was quite intrigued when I stumbled across this product called SNOMAX, a naturally occurring high temperature nucleate that saves water and energy. As a chemical engineer that is extremely conscious of environmental issues and loves the snow, I was instantly drawn to the opportunity to work with this product.
I have been working as the Technical Director of SNOMAX for the past few months, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the work I get to do and the benefits I am providing skiers and ski areas alike.
